Models, actresses, cheerleaders, and beauty queens have never been appealing to me. I’m attracted to intelligence. That’s not to say that she can be obese or ugly. In fact, she must be trim and attractive in the way that I like. But my first inclinations toward a woman are intelligence. If she meets my appearance needs too then fireworks happen.
Women who rely primarily on their appearance or sexuality are unattractive to me no matter how pretty and sexy they are to others. A woman relying solely on her appearance and sexiness is repulsive, shallow, and lame to me. And often it seems these women do not develop themselves intellectually and sometimes emotionally. In observing those who become celebrities in the news, their erratic and immature behavior indicates that this is prevalent.
The same goes for some men who are super handsome and well-built. They too can be lazy in their personal development. However, it appears that this life path is much more common among super attractive women.
I have found that women are more often attracted to intelligence than men. This can be partly explained by our often cited differences: Men are more enticed by visual appearance than women. But is it really that simple? I don’t think so.
I think a lot is revealed about a man who only goes for models. What are his motivations? How does it serve him? What does it say about his character? The same goes for women who chase men with model-like looks who are actors, rockers, or reality TV stars.
Intelligent conversation, interaction, and collaboration are stimulating and productive. Meaningless conversation, interaction, and collaboration are boring and pointless. Add a pleasing personality and an attractive appearance to an intelligent woman and that’s hot stuff from a sapiosexual’s perspective.
